Our Best Harvest Yet!
Year 3 already and the fruit trees have really grown. This year saw our first proper harvest of apples which will be arriving onto the shelves as tasty pressed Organic Apple Juice for Halloween.
We picked the apples over two days in August. Picking by hand into crates, careful not to bruise the apples or damage the branches during picking, we gathered hundreds and hundreds of apples.
Why Organic
In the orchard we planted several varieties of apples, pears and plums, mixing trees helps stop the spread of disease, very important in an organic orchard where spraying is avoided.
The result of this chemical free approach is a haven for wildlife and insects.
